69 South Cliff is a new Build Beach house in Bexhill-on Sea, East Sussex. The site sits raised from the beach at the top of the cliff overlooking the beach.
The new house has a basement level, with 3 floors of accommodation above, including a lookout snug room on the top floor with roof terrace. The house has a substantial solar array, battery storage, MVHR for passive air recovery and heat pumps to heat and cool the property.
Solar shading fins have been incorporated into the design to help prevent overheating. The building is clad in white seamed metal, and fair faced brickwork with polished concrete floors internally and externally providing thermal mass.
To the front is an enclosed courtyard garden, lined with perforated cor ten panels, and to the rear is a terraced garden leading down to the beach.
